Arrangements have been finalised for a hitch free security as Ondo state hosts the nation’s number two citizen, Prof Yemi Osinbajo for the launch of the Ondo state edition of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises MSMEs clinic.
Professor Osinbajo would also during the two-day visit interact with MSMEs and their products, pay a courtesy call on the Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi, inspect the home-grown school feeding programme at Alagbaka Primary School, the FG light up the project at Isinkan Neighbourhood Market.
To this end, security chiefs in the state from the Department of State Services, DSS, Police, Army and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC, have held a strategic meeting with the Senior Special Assistant to the Ondo state Governor on Security, Alhaji Jimoh Dojumo.
Sources privy to the meeting said the security chiefs discussed several strategies to leverage on the existing relative peace in the state for a hitch-free visit by the Vice President.
Spokesman of the police in Ondo state, Femi Joseph said all security agencies are working in synergy to make the Vice President’s visit a memorable one.
He said adequate policemen have been deployed to all strategic places in Akure.
He sought the cooperation of road users and people of Ondo state for any inconveniences the visit might cost them.
