Okitipupa Local Government chairman, Omo’ba Abayomi Adesanya has constituted a committee on environmental sanitation with the mandate to review and ensure proper and effective management and control of the environment in line with best practices.
This was contained in a statement by the Chairman’s Press Secretary, Mr Martins Fasusi.
He said the committee is also to monitor the safety, heath and environmental related practices in compliance with appropriate laws and regulations.
The committee which is to be chaired by him, has the Supervisor For Environment, Hon. Atunwa Temitope as Vice Chairman and the DLGA of the Local Government, Engr. Babarinde B. O. M as Secretary.

Adesanya added that the committee is to ensure strict compliance to environmental safety and health measures.
Furthermore, it is to investigate negative practices and conduct which might be Inimical to the overall well being of the people within the entire local government.
And when need be, mete out appropriate sanctions and punishment to offenders in line with the environmental laws of the State.
