Lagos State Government has honoured Celestina Nwankwo, the DPO of Ogudu Police Station, Lagos, for her act of kindness that led to the saving of the life of Ajabor Friday, the man who was shot by bandits and left for dead at Ogudu.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu today described her as a role model worthy of emulation.He also pledged that his government will take over the cost of the treatment of Ajabor .
DPO Celestina intervened after Ajabor was shot and was refused treatment by the hospital he was taken to. She intervened firmly and had to spend almost N400,000 to foot the bill of Ajabor’s surgery and post-operative treatment.
