Ondo NUJ congratulates Olumoru-elect, Obamuwagun

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ondo State Council has congratulated the Onimoru-elect, Prince Rotimi Obamuwagun.

It said in a statement by its secretary, Mr Leke Adegbite that it received with delight his emergence as Olumoru of Imoru in Ose local government area of the State.

According to the statement: “Prince Obamuwagun, a former Deputy National President of NUJ was elected by Imoru kingmakers in a keenly contested race that he polled three out of five votes to beat six other contestants.”

It said that “the Union notes that the emergence of our former leader as the Monarch will enhance rapid development of the town.

Ondo NUJ also believes that Prince Obamuwagun will use his connection and his many years of journalism practice to facilitate investment and general peaceful coexistence at Imoru.

The Union appeals to other contestants who lost out in the race to join hands with the Olumoru-Elect to move the town forward after several years of interregnum.

It is our prayer in NUJ and media industry generally that Prince Obamuwagun will live long on the throne than your forefathers.
