The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Ondo State, Kolawole Babatunde, has urged eligible voters to collect their Permanent Voter Cards before the deadline set by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
Babatunde made the call in a statement signed by his Special Assistant on New Media, Olawale Ijanusi, popularly known as Optimum, urging residents, particularly APC members and supporters, to complete the collection process without delay.
He urged eligible voters to visit designated INEC offices and collection centres in their respective local government areas and wards, stressing that possession of PVCs was essential for participation in elections.
The APC chairman said the party was targeting one million votes for President Bola Tinubu and other candidates, adding that achieving the goal would require effective grassroots mobilisation, voter education and increased participation.
He called on party leaders, ward executives, youth and women groups, as well as other stakeholders, to intensify awareness campaigns across the state’s 18 local government areas to ensure eligible voters collected their cards before the deadline.
Babatunde linked civic participation to Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s Ease Agenda, urging eligible residents to exercise their democratic rights by participating in the electoral process.
He stressed that voter education and PVC collection should not be the responsibility of party officials alone, but a collective effort involving all eligible citizens. He urged APC members to spread the message among their families, friends, neighbours and communities.
The chairman reaffirmed the Ondo APC’s commitment to grassroots mobilisation and democratic participation, urging eligible voters to collect their PVCs promptly and take an active role in shaping the future of the state and the country.
