President Bola Tinubu has appointed the Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Adewale Olumide Egbedun, as Deputy Director of South-West Youth Mobilisation for his Presidential Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The appointment is expected to strengthen youth engagement and grassroots mobilisation across the six states in the South-West geopolitical zone: Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ondo and Ekiti.

According to a statement from the Speaker’s media office, Egbedun, who also serves as Co-Chairman of the Accord National and State Assembly Candidates in Osun State, is expected to play a key role in coordinating mobilisation efforts across the region.

The 40-year-old lawmaker has pledged to deploy his political structure and grassroots network to rally support for Tinubu’s re-election bid in Osun and other parts of the South-West.

The statement added that Egbedun had reaffirmed his commitment to the President’s second-term ambition as political parties and their supporters stepped up preparations for the 2027 elections.
