Osun Sports Council Celebrates Deputy Governor at Birthday

Osun State Sports Council has congratulated the state’s Deputy Governor and Commissioner for Sports, Prince Kola Adewusi, on the occasion of his birthday.

In a message signed by the General Manager of the Council, Mr. Ademola Daini, the Sports Council described Adewusi as a sports-loving leader whose involvement in the sector has contributed to ongoing efforts to reposition sports in the state.

The Council said Adewusi, since assuming responsibility as Commissioner for Sports, had worked with the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke to strengthen the state’s sports sector and improve its performance at national competitions.

According to the statement, Osun athletes have continued to participate competitively at national sporting events, while attention has also been given to the welfare and development of athletes, coaches and other stakeholders.

The Council also commended the Deputy Governor for his interest in the rehabilitation and transformation of sporting infrastructure across the state.

It particularly highlighted his advocacy for the establishment of a Sports Commission for Osun State, saying such a structure could provide a sustainable framework for talent discovery, athlete development and the long-term growth of sports.

The Council said the initiatives were aimed at creating an environment capable of nurturing sporting talents and enhancing Osun’s participation in national competitions.

Daini, on behalf of the management and entire staff of the Osun State Sports Council, expressed appreciation for Adewusi’s support and leadership in the sports sector.

He wished the Deputy Governor many more years of sound health, wisdom, fulfilment and continued service to Osun State and humanity.
