The Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has warned members against actions capable of undermining the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The state APC Chairman, Kolawole Babatunde, issued the warning during the party’s State Executive Committee meeting at the APC secretariat in Akure, the state capital.
Babatunde said the party would not overlook acts of indiscipline or disloyalty, adding that members found to have engaged in anti-party activities would face disciplinary measures in line with the APC constitution.
“We will not tolerate any act of indiscipline among party members who indulge in anti-party activities. Anyone found culpable will be dealt with accordingly in line with our party’s constitution,” he said.
The chairman said the party leadership had been working to resolve grievances among members and aspirants in an effort to strengthen unity and prevent internal disagreements from affecting its preparations for the forthcoming elections.
He urged members to put aside their differences and work collectively for the progress of the party, assuring them that the leadership would not abandon any member.
“There is no gain in division but rather in unity and oneness. We all need to work together for the progress of the party,” Babatunde said.
He added, “I can assure you that nobody will be left aside or abandoned. The room is enough for all. Let us all work together to deliver maximally for the party in the coming election.”
The APC chairman also urged party members to support President Bola Tinubu and other candidates to be fielded by the party in the 2027 elections.
“I urge you all to rally round our President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, come 2027,” he said.
The latest warning follows similar calls by Ondo Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for unity and party discipline as the APC intensifies preparations for the 2027 elections. Aiyedatiwa has previously declared zero tolerance for anti-party activities within the state chapter.
At a campaign event in Idanre on September 21, the governor also urged APC members to close ranks and work together in support of the party’s candidates. The state APC chairman, who attended the event, similarly called on members to remain committed to the party.
