*For several years, Hannah, the wife of Elkanah, was wondering what could be wrong with her.*
*The question was agitating her mind because she was the first woman to be married to their husband, yet the woman who came into the house years behind her had given birth to boys, and girls :*
*1 Samuel 1:[2]And he ( Elkanah) had two wives; the name of the one was Hannah, and the name of the other Peninnah: and Peninnah had children, but Hannah had no children.*
*Hannah might have wondered – what was it that Peninnah was doing that gave rise to her conceiving and she wasn’t doing that was preventing her from conceiving?*
*Yet, time and season happens to everyone under the heavens :*
*Ecclesiastes 3:[1] To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:*
*One thing as mystery to all of us is that we only understand God and His plans in part :*
*1 Corinthians 13: [9] For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.*
*[10]But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.*
*Know that now or in the past, good or bad, nobody can fully understand God.*
*Your efforts today may not make sense to you or even to several people – do you know that there could be several friends and relatives of Hannah who could be urging her to leave the house of Elkanah, and go elsewhere to marry and settle down because of delays in conception?*
*My suggestion to you is – just wake up each day and give thanks to God, and keep pushing it – know that one day :*
*YOUR EFFORTS WILL MAKE SENSE.*
*Your own situation could be seeking employment.*
*Yours could be seeking admission.*
*Yours could be seeking a partner.*
*Yours could be seeking a contract.*
*Yours could be seeking to hear a voice from heaven. Whatever it is, don’t give up, one day your efforts will make sense.*
*Please don’t be tired of making efforts :*
*Keep doing your best.*
*Keep giving your best.*
*And keep on expecting the best. Always remember : when there is life, there is hope :*
*Job 14: [7] For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease.*
*See today’s Reflection as a special package to you, meant as an encouragement in self – help to you. You may be going through your tough times. You may be going through your worst times of life. You might have fallen on hard times of life, ALWAYS remember, times and seasons change, and no hard times last for ever. Very soon, very very soon, your efforts will make sense.*
*Please rise up today and tell yourself : ONE DAY, MY EFFORTS WILL MAKE SENSE.*
*Remain focused on the journey ahead of you and the assignment before you. Let the words of Paul, the great apostle of Christ keep ringing in your ears :*
*Philippians 3: [14] “I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus”.*
*Others may not believe it, but you must know it yourself – there is a prize ahead of you that you must keep pushing and pressing towards without faltering or falling or failing, and one day, you will get there.*
