FEDPOLY Ile Oluji appoints Fadeji as new Registrar

The Federal Polytechnic, Ile Oluji, Ondo State has appointed Mr. Fadeji Joseph Adebayo as its new Registrar.

This followed the approval of the institution’s Governing Council at its 27th Statutory Meeting held on Thursday, 27th August, 2026

A statement by the institution’s spokesman, Mr Sanmi Enigbokan, on Tuesday said the appointment, which is for a single term of five years, is effective from Thursday, 10th September, 2026.

Fadeji will succeed Mr. Gabriel Adeyemi Awe, whose tenure expires on Wednesday, 9th September, 2026.

Described as “a seasoned administrator”, the incoming registrar is expected to bring his wealth of experience to bear on the growth and development of the budding Institution.

Born on 8th October,1969 at Akio Compound, Fiditi, in Afijio Local Government Area of Oyo State, Fadeji obtained his Teachers’ Grade II Certificate from the Local Authority Teachers’ College, Iseyin, in 1988; Nigerian Certificate in Education (NCE) from St. Andrew’s College of Education, Oyo, in 1992; and Bachelor of Arts in Education (B.A.Ed.) in English, Second Class Honours (Upper Division), from the University of Ilorin in 1998.

He subsequently bagged a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, in 2021, and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Public Administration from the same University in 2024.

Fadeji is a professionally certified member of the Institute of Corporate Administration of Nigeria (MICA) in 2012, Nigerian Institute of Management (MNIM) Chartered in 2013, and an Associate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (ANIPR) Chartered in 2020.

With 25 years of cognate administrative experience in the polytechnic system, he brings extensive knowledge and expertise to his new position.

Fadeji began his administrative career at Osun State Polytechnic, Iree in 2001 as an Administrative Officer II in the Registry Department (Registrar’s Office).

By dint of hard work, diligence and commitment to duty, he rose steadily through the ranks, serving as Administrative Officer I (Registrar’s Office/Council Affairs Officer) in 2004; Assistant Registrar (Faculty Officer/Acting Public Relations Officer) in 2007; Senior Assistant Registrar (Continuing Education Programme/Directorate Affairs Officer) in 2010; Principal Assistant Registrar (Public Relations Officer) in 2013; and Deputy Registrar in 2016.

As Deputy Registrar, he has served in various units and directorates of the Polytechnic, including the Directorate of Personnel Affairs from July 2016 to February 2017; Board of Studies Unit from February 2017 to June 2019; and General Administration and the Directorate of Media, Public Relations and Protocol from June 2019 to date.

MFadeji has also served on several institution-based committees in various capacities, including as Chairman, Secretary and Member.

He has attended numerous capacity-building conferences, workshops and other professional development programmes. He has also co-authored four scholarly publications, and he is happily married.
