Veteran actor and screenwriter Taiwo “Ogogo” Hassan
Legendary Nigerian Fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde, popularly known as KWAM 1 or K1 De Ultimate, broke down in tears on stage following the death of veteran Nollywood actor, Taiwo Hassan, better known as Ogogo.
Ogogo died on Sunday evening after battling cancer, prompting an outpouring of tributes from Nigerians, including celebrities and politicians.
A video of KWAM 1 becoming emotional after receiving news of the actor’s death during his live performance at the Mushin 30th Anniversary Celebration has gone viral on social media.
The Fuji musician was visibly shaken by the news and was consoled by one of his associates on stage.
Another Fuji musician, Malaika, also became emotional while paying tribute to the late actor.
“His death really hit hard. I’m in pain,” Malaika said.
The emotional moment saw both musicians mourn Ogogo and reflect on the impact and legacy he left in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
Ogogo, a prominent figure in Yoruba-language Nollywood, died days after his daughters appealed publicly for medical assistance as he battled stage-four cancer.
