Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has assured the timely completion of the ongoing Akure-Idanre road dualisation.
He spoke on Friday while inspecting the project in Akure.
Aiyedatiwa, who received a rousing welcome from residents and road users, assured them that the project would be sped up and completed on time.
Commissioner for Infrastructure, Lands and Housing, Engr Abiola Olawoye, conducted the governor round the project, along Oke Aro road, explaining its technical details and progress.
Responding to requests from residents, the governor also assured that some adjoining roads would be constructed to complement the project and improve connectivity in the area.
He was also accompanied on the inspection by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Taiwo Fasoranti, and the Commissioner for Finance, Mrs. Omowunmi Isaac.
