The Yoruba Ronu Group, a socio-political organisation campaigning for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has congratulated the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, on his 58th birthday.

In a statement signed by its Chairman, Prince Diran Iyantan, the group described Yilwatda as an accomplished academic, engineer, administrator and politician whose experience has continued to add value to the leadership of the ruling party.

The group said Yilwatda’s career in engineering and academia, his service as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, and his current position as APC National Chairman demonstrated his capacity, discipline and commitment to national development.

Yoruba Ronu, however, said the 2027 presidential election would be a major litmus test for Yilwatda, being the first presidential election to be conducted under his leadership as National Chairman.

While acknowledging his capacity to succeed, the group urged him to prioritise party unity, reconciliation and strategic mobilisation ahead of the election.

“We recognise your intellectual capacity, political experience and organisational ability, and we are confident that you will rise to the occasion,” Iyantan said.

The group reaffirmed its commitment to President Tinubu’s re-election, saying it would continue to support and promote the administration’s programmes and achievements and mobilise Nigerians behind the President’s 2027 bid.

Yoruba Ronu also prayed for greater wisdom, good health and strength for Yilwatda, expressing the hope that his tenure would bring greater unity, stability and electoral success to the APC.

The group wished the APC chairman a happy 58th birthday and urged him to use his leadership to strengthen the party and advance the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Tinubu administration.
