Ondo State Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has constituted the Ondo State Cocoa Revolution and Management Board in line with the administration’s commitment to repositioning agriculture as a key driver of the state’s economy.
A statement by the governor’s spokesman, Ebenezer Adeniyan, said “the appointment of the Board is part of the government’s Cocoa Revolution Agenda aimed at boosting cocoa production, improving farmers’ livelihoods, enhancing value chain development, and restoring Ondo’s position as the leading cocoa producing state in Nigeria.
“The Board will be charged with the responsibility of coordinating policies, mobilizing stakeholders, attracting investments, and driving innovation across the cocoa sector in the state.”
Members of the Board are:
1. Mr. Omolade Fabiyi – Chairman
2. Alhaji Taiwo Ayoade – Member
3. Dr. Jibayo Oyebade – Member
4. Hon. Augustine Oloruntogbe – Member
5. Akinbola Omolade Franklin – Member
6. Tope Oni – Member
7. Anthony Omolakin – Secretary
Adeniyan said, “Governor Aiyedatiwa congratulated the appointees and urged them to bring their wealth of experience, integrity, and commitment to bear in delivering on the mandate of the Board.
“The Governor reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to supporting cocoa farmers with improved seedlings, access to finance, extension services, and modern processing facilities to ensure increased yield and profitability.
“He expressed confidence that under the leadership of the new Board, the Cocoa Revolution will create jobs, boost internally generated revenue, and secure a sustainable future for cocoa farming communities across Ondo State.”
