*A man or woman who cannot resist gratification, is an individual who is toying with the greatness of his or her destiny.*
*Gratification is a reward process meant to appeal to your insatiation and pleasure. It is the act of giving to please a person for the purpose of an ulterior motive. It can also be anything that is a deliberate appeasement to one’s appetite.*
*Gratification can also be an item of enjoyment for the purpose of a specified acquisition.*
*Anything that is meant to appeal to your pleasure before the appropriate timing for such, is a bait on your path. And this is most dangerous to people’s destinies.*
*This piece is a warning to all, but more importantly, to to the younger generation who may not be familiar with the weapon of baiting.*
*Human nature wants pleasure here and now. But the sense of discipline will draw a line of caution. Please be cautious anywhere gratification is involved.*
*Why must you be careful and determine to resist gratification?*
*1) Such gratification could be an instrument for you to pervert justice or uprightness.*
*2) It could be to lure you to join a course that is different from the one you are pursuing,often to join a course that is unworthy.*
*3) It could be for you to lower your standard for something entirely worthless to you, but for which you are being paid for in a way.*
*4) It could be to compromise your discipline and turn you into a piece of bread for someone else’s manipulation.*
*5) It could be to ensure you do not reach your goal, for which you have set out.*
*6) It could be to turn you over and become somebody”s commodity, up for grabbing or sales.*
*There is always a timing attached to gratification.*
*Several people at the threshold of success have been known to throw such away on the platform of gratification.*
*It does not matter how long a man had been succeeding, the moment he starts indulging in gratification, his back step to failure starts, if not now, then it is a matter of time.*
*Take time and study some people you know and around you who missed their steps in their journey to greatness on the account of gratification and you will see what we are saying better – Eve, Reuben, Gehasi, Judas Ischariot – the list is almost endless.*
*Do you know the instruments normally used in baiting and luring such fellows?*
*The instruments are so listed as follow, read them and reflect on them :*
*1 John 2: [16] For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.*
*[17]And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.*
