*Fear is a feeling within a person indicating that something is wrong somewhere.*
*Let us look at the simple definition of fear from the dictionary :*
*”A strong, unpleasant emotion or feeling caused by actual or perceived danger or threat”.*
*Fear is so powerful and threatening to a level that God said this to humanity :*
*2 Tim1:[7] “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind”.*
*Yet, the assurance from God above not withstanding, fear is real, existential, palpable and common to men.*
*Fear is a reflection of psychological uneasiness around a human being.*
*The FIRST connection of man with fear was when man first FELL – I mean when Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Aden by eating the fruit God commanded them not to eat :*
*Gen 3:[8] “And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.”*
*[9]”And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?”*
*[10] “And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.”*
*To all of us reading this, we must understand that fear is real. And that fear is a restrainer.*
*For everyone who has not accepted Jesus Christ the Son of God into their lives, such a fellow is a perpetual victim of fear. No wonder, the first thing a fellow notices after accepting Jesus Christ into his life is PEACE. By this, fear disappears.*
*Now for every child of God who is genuinely saved, the second level of fear is when you live or engage in disobedience.*
*For your information, God hates disobedience with passion.*
*No wonder the Word of God says :*
*Isaiah 1:[19] “If ye be willing and _obedient_, ye shall eat the good of the land”.*
*Hear Prophet Samuel speaks the mind of God on disobedience :*
*1 Samuel 15:[18] “And the LORD sent thee on a journey, and said, Go and utterly destroy the sinners the Amalekites, and fight against them until they be consumed”.*
*[19]”Wherefore then didst thou not obey the voice of the LORD, but didst fly upon the spoil, and didst evil in the sight of the LORD?”*
*[22]”And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.”*
*Disobedience was what cut the cord of connection between King Saul and God. It was this situation that ultimately pushed King Saul to cease being guided by God and ended up consulting the witch of Endor as seen in :*
*1 Samuel 28:[7] “Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and enquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman that hath a familiar spirit at Endor.*”
*[8] “And Saul disguised himself, and put on other raiment, and he went, and two men with him, and they came to the woman by night…”*
*What fear cannot push a man to do does not exist. Can you imagine King Saul that banished and punished practitioners of witchcraft and divination in Israel, himself going to consult one of the same witches he sent out of Israel?*
*To be concluded tomorrow, God willing.*
Good day to you 👍
