Osun 2026: Imole campaign council to launch Adeleke’s re-election campaign Tuesday

The Imole Campaign Council (TICC) has announced plans to formally flag off the re-election campaign of Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, in Osogbo.

According to a statement issued by the Chairman of the Media and Publicity Committee of the council, Bamidele Salam, the event will take place at Freedom Park, Osogbo, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

The campaign launch is expected to bring together political leaders, stakeholders, party supporters and residents from across the state to reaffirm support for Governor Adeleke’s administration and its development agenda.

According to the statement, the proposed agenda focuses on integrated youth, women and workers’ welfare and empowerment; consolidation of infrastructure development for social and economic wellbeing; agro-industrial expansion for human development and prosperity; affordable and quality healthcare and education; and the creation of a more secure and business-friendly environment aimed at generating jobs.

TICC further disclosed that the event would feature the formal endorsement of Governor Adeleke by workers’ unions, artisan groups, associations and other organisations.

The council also revealed that more than 10,000 defectors from opposition parties, including the APC, ADC and other political platforms, are expected to be officially received during the programme.

Describing the event as a significant milestone in the governor’s re-election bid, the campaign council called on members of the public, supporters, media organisations and advocates of good governance to participate.

The council said the campaign launch would set the tone for the continuation of what it described as good governance, infrastructural development, economic gqrqowth, improved welfare and shared pqrq1qq1osperity in Osun State.
