Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has congratulated the Jegun Olu-Ekun of Ile-Oluji, Oba Olufaderin Adetimehin, on the occasion of his 10th coronation anniversary, describing his reign as one marked by peace, unity, and remarkable progress.
Represented by his deputy, Dr. Olayide Adelami, he paid a glowing tribute to the monarch during the anniversary celebration held in Ile-Oluji on Saturday, commending his exemplary leadership and dedication to the development of the kingdom.
According to him, Oba Adetimehin has conducted himself with dignity and humility throughout the past decade, earning the respect and admiration of his subjects and the wider society.
His words, “Over the past decade, Kabiyesi has carried this sacred responsibility with admirable wisdom, dignity, and grace. His reign has been characterised by peace, stability, and a relentless commitment to the progress of Ile-Oluji Kingdom.
“He has remained a symbol of unity, a custodian of cherished traditions, and a voice of moderation in a world often troubled by division and uncertainty.
“Kabiyesi, your ten years on the throne stand as a testament to purposeful leadership and unwavering devotion to the welfare of your people. Your reign has enriched the cultural heritage of Ile-Oluji Kingdom and strengthened its place within the broader story of Ondo State,” the governor eulogised Oba Adetimehin.
The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to sustaining its partnership with traditional institutions to promote peace, security, and equitable development across the state.
He also urged the people of Ile-Oluji to use the occasion to recommit themselves to the values and ideals that have sustained the community through generations.
“On behalf of the government and the good people of Ondo State, I heartily congratulate Your Imperial Majesty on this historic milestone. I also congratulate the chiefs, sons, and daughters of Ile-Oluji Kingdom at home and in the diaspora, whose loyalty and support have contributed immensely to the success of this reign,” he said.
He prayed for continued good health, divine wisdom, strength, and longevity for the monarch, expressing hope that his reign would continue to usher in greater peace, prosperity, and development for the kingdom.
In his anniversary speech, Oba Adetimehin expressed appreciation to the people of Ile-Oluji, both at home and abroad, as well as the state government, for their unwavering support over the years. He appealed for continued prayers and cooperation to enable him to realise his vision for the kingdom.
The monarch reaffirmed his commitment to upholding the ideals of his forebears and pledged to continue working with relevant stakeholders to sustain the developmental strides recorded during his reign.
Also speaking, Chairman of the 10th Coronation Anniversary Planning Committee, Oloye Akinsola Akinfemiwa, commended the monarch for his steadfastness and unwavering commitment to the growth and development of Ile-Oluji, pledging the people’s unalloyed support in the years ahead.
The colourful event attracted dignitaries from across the country, including traditional rulers, top government officials, captains of industry, and other prominent personalities who gathered to celebrate the monarch’s decade of impactful leadership.
