Nigerian politics is deeper than the blue sea, only the nose can know…

Last year, I wrote about Jumping and Jumpers like Moses Olaiya alias Baba Sala will say “Be be be ko le be” in Yoruba Language.

We have seen a lot in Nigeria from all ramifications even from early 60s through to independence and Nigerian Republic in 1963 up to 1979 Political gang-up to 1983 and 1993 Elections as well as the NADECO days after Chief M.K.O Abiola’s election was annulled by the Mafia led by Gen.Ibrahim Babangida, which was completed by Gen.Sani Abacha.

There is a general saying that, People must look before they leap and the statement is quite apt in this sense.

When we want to eat, we should eat with common sense without thinking of self alone first, or the position we want to occupy but, to look before leaping so that the jumping from one tree or Party to another will not be a jumping from fire to a frying pan or dungeon.

No matter what, the law is law and the Court will be Court where the rule of Law as well as of the Courts remain constant.

The Courts (Magistrates/Judges) are to interprete the law on cases brought before them.

The Magistrates and Judges won’t dabble into any matter that is not brought before them.

There are more than two tangoes to the interpretation of the law based on the subject matter which leads to different judgements.

Most Non-Lawyers do not know this.

They sit at a corner comparing and contrasting what they lack the jurisdiction as well as the subject matter of litigation before the Courts with bias and emotions.

It is time to wait, look before we leap on matters we understand and or which we lack knowledge of.

Rushing to take over Political Parties without studying the Party’s Constitution inside-out may be too dangerous to accomplish. Internal Rules of Parties cannot be pushed away despite Electoral laws.

When troubles start in a Party, who will preside over them when they are brought before the Courts ?

From all the ongoings, many politicians would continue their cross-carpeting and jumping from Parties to Parties after the final Court judgement if time would still allow them.

Opposition Parties must not only be interested in taking over of Parties but, to study the Constitutions and Manifestos of the Parties whether they suit the yearning and aspiration of the struggling masses and not only for their selfish interest alone.

After all, Party-less and Manifesto-less Parties won’t take Nigerians anywhere going by what we are witnessing few months to the 2027 general elections.

What is the difference between Six (6) and Half-a-Dozen despite hues and cries? Most Parties and Politicians are the same.

They went to the same School of Politics, ate from the same table, swore severally not to disappoint themselves when the going-on was good but, only to change like chameleon and to become bats who are neither birds or rats when power eludes them.

Only a deep minded person can know how deep a serious matter is and at the same time, only the nose can know that,”there are many twists between the hands and the mouth.

Nigerians want a better governance while waiting for a. Political Messiah who may be nearer the MESSIAH sent by God to safe mankind.
