The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ondo State has knocked the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for making allegedly misleading claims about the Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa administration.
In a statement by its Director of Media and Publicity, Mr Steve Otaloro, the APC, which is the ruling party in the state, said:
“The All Progressives Congress (APC), Ondo State Chapter, rejects the misleading assertions by the PDP regarding the administration of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.
“The claim that governance has been inactive due to the timing of an Executive Council meeting is false. Government decisions are continuous and not limited to formal EXCO sittings. The Aiyedatiwa administration has maintained steady and coordinated governance since inception.
“On healthcare, the PDP’s criticism is misplaced. The ongoing plan to expand hospital capacity alongside upgrades of existing facilities reflects a comprehensive strategy to strengthen the health system- not a contradiction.
“Regarding security, the government remains proactive, working with relevant agencies to safeguard lives and property. Security efforts are operational and cannot always be reduced to public briefings.
“The allegation of lack of transparency is equally unfounded. All approvals follow due process, with details captured within official frameworks in line with established procedures.
“The APC Ondo State categorically rejects the PDP’s claims as baseless, misleading, and politically motivated.
“Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa remains focused on delivering sustainable development across critical sectors- healthcare, infrastructure, security, and economic growth- guided by a clear vision and a disciplined execution framework.
“Rather than resort to alarmism, the PDP is advised to engage in constructive policy dialogue that reflects seriousness and respect for the intelligence of the people.
“Ondo State is moving forward- deliberately, strategically, and responsibly.
“Ondo State remains on a path of deliberate and responsible progress under Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.”
