Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed confidence in reclaiming power in the 2026 governorship election, while also backing the re-election of Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.

This position was reiterated by the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Gboyega Oyetola, during a recent visit to Osun State, where he engaged with party stakeholders and supporters.

During the visit, Oyetola met with the Osun 2026 Campaign Council led by Wole Oke, as well as members of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (Osun Chapter) led by Sunday Akere. He also held consultations with civil society groups, community leaders, and traditional rulers across the state.

The Minister stated that the APC remains united and well-positioned to secure victory in the forthcoming governorship election. He reaffirmed confidence in the party’s candidate, Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, describing him as capable and visionary.

Oyetola further assured stakeholders that aligning Osun State with the federal government would enhance development, improve infrastructure, and expand economic opportunities for residents.

He noted that the “dividends of democracy” under the current federal administration would be better maximised if the APC returns to power in the state.

The Minister also emphasized the party’s commitment to grassroots mobilisation and inclusive governance, expressing optimism that increasing support across the state would translate into electoral success in 2026.

As part of his visit, Oyetola attended the final burial ceremony of businessman Prince Tunde Ponle, where he paid tribute to the deceased, describing him as a key contributor to economic development.
