Determined to resolve the longstanding electricity challenges confronting Ondo State, the state government plans to partner with the Federal Government’s Power Company on commercial power transmission arrangements under the Presidential Power Initiative (PPI).
The state’s Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Engr. Johnson Alabi, said the proposed partnership aims at strengthening transmission infrastructure, improving grid reliability, and ensuring a more stable and efficient power supply across Ondo State, in line with the development vision of Governor Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.
He disclosed this while receiving a delegation from the FGN Power Company, Abuja, in his office in Akure
Alabi said that the Aiyedatiwa administration considers electricity a critical driver of economic growth, noting that sustainable development is unattainable without reliable power supply
