Osun releases new teachers supplementary list

Osun State Ministry of Education has announced the release of a supplementary list to Batch One of the ongoing 2026 teachers’ recruitment exercise.

The approval was granted by the Governor of Osun State, Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, as part of efforts to expand employment opportunities for qualified youths and strengthen the state’s education system.

With the inclusion of the supplementary list, the total number of successful applicants has increased from 1,000 to 1,241.

According statement signed by permanet secretary M. k. A Jimoh of the Ministry, said the development is aimed at accommodating more qualified candidates and boosting teaching capacity in public primary and secondary schools across the state.

A breakdown of the updated figures shows that 660 candidates were recruited under the Osun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), 526 under the Osun State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), while 55 candidates were engaged as Education Officers.

The Ministry urged all successful candidates to check their names on the published list and proceed with the required profiling and documentation at the appropriate agencies, including SUBEB, TESCOM, and the Civil Service Commission.

While congratulating the newly recruited teachers, the government charged them to uphold professionalism and contribute meaningfully to improving the quality of education in Osun State.
