*There is something a man can do that can bury his future, yes, that can bury his glory permanently.*
*This is why each one of us needs to be careful.*
*Just imagine the following :*
*1) When Reuben, the first born among the 12 sons of Jacob decided to throw caution to the winds and sleep with his father’s wife – Bilhah, he couldn’t be doing anything short of burying his own destiny in the process (Gen 35:22).*
*Unfortunately, he didn’t realize the depth of his heinious action until the final day of his father on the earth when his destiny was signed and sealed up for burial alive (Gen 49.3-4).*
*A rider to the above is that : we need to be careful of what we do in secret, knowing that there is no secret that shall not be exposed (Lk 12:2).*
*2) When Absalom, because of his rebellious nature and love for power, decided to raise a rebellion against his own father and dethroned him thereby, Absalom was only digging his own grave (2Sam 15:1-37).*
*Absalom by his action was only biting the finger that fed him.*
*No wonder he had to hang up on a tree through his long hair while riding away on his mule. He would have ultimately died there if not for the impatience of Joab, the War Commander who sent darts into his bossom (2Sam 18:9-15).*
*Never be ambitious to a point that there is nothing you cannot do to achieve your desires. There must be Red Lines you must never cross.*
*3) Lucifer was an unusual personality at creation. All instruments of worship were created into him alone (Eze 28 :13-19). But he got carried away with his gifting and rose up against the one who created him, and to whom his worship was meant. Thereby graduating from being Lucifer the son of the morning (he comes before God first every day to lead worship and praises) to Satan, the devil and the much aborred. (Is 14:12-19).*
*With his singular decision to exalt his throne above the throne of God, he was setting up his own future for an eternal condemnation and punishment.*
*Be careful how you rise up against the hands that once lifted you up.*
*4) When King David decided to abandon his duty as the War Commander of the kingdom (2Sam11:1-end) and be sleeping with the wife of one of his field officers, he could only be setting up his future for burial.*
*Even when the field officer reminded him that he as a soldier has a duty to fight and protect the Ark of God at the war front, he never waivered in his personal journey to ruin that eventually made him a murderer.*
*David because of this, among other troubles, lost his first son (Amnon), same for Absalom and Adonijah to fratricidal blood shedding.*
*Please take a cue from the characters above, and be careful of what you do or that you may be doing.*
*Several men and women are consciously and unconsciously burying their future daily by their deeds, please don’t join their group.*
