The Nigeria Police Force has announced the schedule for the physical and credential screening of candidates from Osun State who applied for the ongoing recruitment of 50,000 police constables nationwide.

The announcement was made by the Osun State Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Gotan, on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, stating that the exercise will run from March 9 to April 18, 2026.

According to the police command, the screening will take place at the Police Headquarters along Ring Road in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, with activities commencing daily at 7:00 a.m.

The exercise is strictly for applicants of Osun State origin who successfully completed the online registration stage of the recruitment process.

Candidates have been advised to visit the official recruitment portal of the Nigeria Police Force to verify their application status and print their invitation slips, which will contain details of their screening table and specific time for the exercise.

Applicants are required to appear at the screening venue with several documents, including the original printout of their National Identity Number (NIN), academic certificates, birth certificate or declaration of age, and local government identification.

They must also submit a duly signed guarantor’s form and arrange their credentials in two separate white flat files.

The command further stated that candidates must strictly adhere to the prescribed dress code, which requires them to appear in plain white T-shirts, white shorts, white stockings, and white canvas shoes throughout the screening period.

The police urged all applicants to comply with the requirements and attend the exercise on the date indicated on their invitation slips, noting that failure to do so may lead to disqualification from the recruitment process.
