Osun Amotekun commander Omoyele pledges better security in New Year

Osun Amotekun Corps Commander, Dr Adekunle Omoyele, has assured of better security for the state in the New Year.

In his New Year message, he congratulated the people and wished them
good health, peace, and prosperity.

He assured them that the corps is determined to proving effective security, safety to all sundry.

Omoyele appreciated residents of the state for their unwavering support and cooperation with the Osun Amotekun Corps throughout the past year, noting that the synergy between the Corps and the public played a vital role in the successes recorded in safeguarding lives and property across the state.

He particularly commended Governor Ademola Adeleke for his consistent and tremendous support for the Corps.

Also, he acknowledged the invaluable backing of members of the State Executive Council, the Speaker of the ûState House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun, and all members of the Assembly for their commitment to strengthening the state’s security architecture.

He further lauded the Chairman of the Osun Amotekun Corps Board, AIG Wale Abbas (Rtd); the Field Commander, Dr. Capt. Olusoji Benedict Akanni; members of the management team; and all operatives of the Corps for their dedication, professionalism, and sacrifices, which contributed significantly to the achievements recorded in the outgoing year.

He also expressed gratitude to members of the media for their steadfast support and for consistently projecting the activities and achievements of the Corps to the public, urging journalists to sustain the partnership in the new year.

The Corps Commander called on residents of Osun State to remain vigilant and to promptly provide credible information on criminal activities or suspicious movements within their communities to relevant security agencies, assuring them that all information would be treated with utmost urgency and confidentiality.

Reaffirming the commitment of the Osun Amotekun Corps, High Chief Omoyele assured residents that the protection of lives and property remains the Corps’ top priority, stressing that it will not relent in its determination to rid the state of criminal elements.

He urged the people of Osun State to continue praying for sustained peace and tranquility in the state, as well as for the safety, strength, and success of all security personnel as Osun moves forward in the year 2026.
