Osun 2026: ADC Holds Guber Primary December 10, Sells Form For ₦30m

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has released the guidelines for its Osun State governorship primary election scheduled for December 10.

In a statement signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Prince Chinedu Idigo, the party announced that governorship aspirants are to purchase the Expression of Interest Form for ₦5 million, while the Nomination Form will cost ₦25 million, bringing the total to ₦30 million.

However, female aspirants will obtain both forms free of charge.

According to the party, the sale of forms which began on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, will close on Monday, December 1, 2025.

Idigo explained that aspirants must be registered, card-carrying members of the ADC for at least two years with fully paid membership dues. New members wishing to contest must pay four years’ membership dues totaling ₦48,000 to obtain the party card and qualify to run.

Forms will be available at the ADC National Secretariat and will be issued only upon presentation of proof of payment for membership dues, Expression of Interest, and Nomination fees.

Aspirants are also required to present:Original tax clearance certificate, Educational certificates, National Identity Number (NIN) or Certificate of State of Origin, Voter’s Card, ADC Membership Card, Payment receipts and Two recent passport photographs

The screening exercise for all aspirants will hold on Wednesday, December 3, at the party’s national secretariat.

On the composition of delegates, the party stated that the congress will be constituted in line with Article 16 (11) of its constitution. Delegates will include:

The State Executive Committee as recognised by INEC,members of the National Executive Committee from Osun, five delegates per local government, at least two of whom must be women and One delegate from each of the 323 wards in Osun State

Delegate forms will be sold for ₦5,000 at the state headquarters between December 4 and 5, while the delegates’ election will take place on December 6, 2025.

The ADC reaffirmed its commitment to fairness and transparency, promising a free, fair, and credible indirect primary election on December 10 to elect its governorship candidate for the 2026 Osun election.
