The departed ex-President Muhammadu Buhari will be buried in Daura, Katsina State on Monday in line with Islamic rites.
He passed in London about 4.30 pm on Sunday,
His media aide, Garba Shehu, disclosed this on Sunday.
Shehu had earlier announced Buhari’s death in a terse statement on Sunday, confirming that the former Nigerian leader died at 4:30pm in London in an illness.
The presidency had formally announced to the nation the passing of the immediate past president.
President Bola Tinubu had subsequently directed Vice President Kashim Shettima and Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila to proceed to the United Kingdom to accompany Buhari’s body back to Nigeria.
