Osun Amotekun congratulates Abbas, Omoyele on milestone

Amotekun Corps in Osun State has congratulated its Board Chairman, AIG Wale Abbas (Rtd), and Commander, Chief Adekunle Omoyele, as they mark one year of leadership and service.

A statement in Osogbo by the Corps’ spokesman, Mr. Idowu Abass, praised the leadership duo for their dedication to enhancing security in Osun State. It described their first year in office as a period of focused reform and commendable progress.

“This milestone marks a significant chapter in the history of the Osun Amotekun Corps,” the statement read. “Under the guidance of Chairman AIG Wale Abbas (Rtd) and Commander Chief Dr. Hon. Adekunle Isaac Omoyele, we have witnessed renewed energy and professionalism in our mission to safeguard lives and property across the state.”

Abass highlighted improvement in community engagement, faster response times to security threats, and strengthened collaboration with other security agencies as notable achievements. He noted that these efforts have enhanced the Corps’ operational capacity and increased public confidence in grassroots security initiatives.

He reaffirmed the Corps’ commitment to its mandate and expressed optimism for continued progress under the current leadership. “The Osun Amotekun Corps remains steadfast in its duty to protect all communities in the state and will continue to support the leadership as they work to maintain peace, law, and order,” he said.

The entire Corps joins stakeholders across Osun and beyond in celebrating this important anniversary and looks ahead to even greater accomplishments in the years to come.
