- says APC record of woes still fresh in Osun people’s hearts
- ‘desperate’ ex-ruling party panics, fears
- Osun voters won’t return APC to power

Osun State people have witnessed visible improvements in infrastructure, workers’ welfare, healthcare delivery and security within three years of the Governor Ademola Adeleke administration to earn him reelection.
Comparing the people of the state’s experience in the immediate two former All Progressives Congress administrations with their alleged record of woes, Accord Party on Sunday praised the governor over what it described as his visible achievements .
In a statement issued on Sunday by its state chairman, Pastor Victor Babalola Akande, Accord Party said that Osun State has witnessed visible improvements in infrastructure, workers’ welfare, healthcare delivery and security within three years of the Adeleke administration.
He accused the APC of panic and desperation ahead of the 2026 governorship election, insisting that the opposition party has lost relevance in the state.
The statement was a reaction to a recent criticism of the state government by the APC leadership.
According to Accord, the APC’s remarks, credited to its Osun State chairman, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, reflected what it described as frustration arising from the party’s declining acceptance among the electorate.
The party attributed the APC’s alleged loss of public confidence to its record in office, particularly during the administration of former governor Gboyega Oyetola, which it accused of economic hardship, poor governance and neglect of workers’ welfare.
Accord praised the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke, claiming that Osun State has witnessed visible improvements in infrastructure, workers’ welfare, healthcare delivery and security within three years of the current government.
It said several roads abandoned under the previous administration were being rehabilitated, while salary payments to workers had become regular, contrasting this with what it described as the “half-salary regime” experienced by workers under the APC government.
The party also claimed that healthcare facilities across the state had received renewed attention and upgrades, adding that improved collaboration between the state government and security agencies had helped restore stability.
On the 2026 governorship election,
Accord declared that Osun voters would not return the APC to power, insisting that the party had already been rejected by the people.
“Osun will not relapse. The people will not return to their abusers,” the statement said, adding that no amount of political attacks or media pressure would change the electorate’s verdict.
The party maintained that the APC’s current posture was evidence of fear ahead of the next election cycle.
